Post subject:  CAM BEARING INSTALLATION

Hi

Does anyone know the correct orientation for fitting the cam bearing that sits beside the oil pump
The ACL bearing has a small notch to draw oil in.
From what i have seen it looks like the notch is at the 6 oclock position facing the pump.
Wouldnt it be better to have the notch at the 4 oclock position therefore away from the max load position caused by the valve spring load?

Anyone have thoughts on this.

That space in between the pump and cam bearing gets filled with oil anyway from the pump's bleed hole, I really don't think it matters where the notch goes, oil will get pushed in there.

Cant remember if the mini bearings have a "join" in them, :? if they do, put the join away from the load side.

with the front one, make sure the big hole goes at the bottom - otherwise the rocker cover will fill up with oil... I think.... someone confirm
