Looking throught the Engine assembly pages of the SP No. 64 and they mention loads of clearances for everything.

But they note it in ranges.

I know that the larger "racing" clearances offer lower friction, but is there a guideline to go by with all of that lot.

Do you aim for the middle, one end or beyond?

as far as i know the larger clearances are there to compensate the higher thermal expansion expected in racing engines.
so the "hot-running-clearences" are about the same, no matter if it's an stock or racing engine

how do you use it? normal driving with power output around factory level? close to minimum should be fine
