hey
well after putting the webber on the mini i notice that it doesnt have a fuel return line, fuel fills up the tank inside of the webber and the pumps slows down a bit, but can i add a little peice on the carby to let excess fuel go back to the tank or will that reduce the pressure so much as to make the webber in effcient.
cheers

Carbies do not have a return line to the tank.
A charcoal cannister equiped Mini will have a vent hose from the carby to the cannister and a vent from the tank to the cannister.

If your carby is leaking fuel from the vent on the carby it means that either the float level is wrong, the fuel pressure is too high or the needle valve is not seating.

You can run a return line to the tank if you want, just restrict the return flow to make sure the carb is getting the fuel it wants. Some race minis run a return line.

its not leaking just that it guzzled 5 liters of fuel ( bp jerry can) in 40 mins of running, it was more like 2 hours of run then turned off, fiddle with some thing then ran again, ect ect,

I take it that your webber is a side sucker. If so what size is it 40 or 45 what engine did it come from before you owned it and how much work was done to it.If your engine is a small bore with only small mods and you are using a 45 the carb is most likley too big.You could try down sizing jetting in carb it may help a little. If you can give me some specs on your engine and the sizes of idle and main jets and choke size i may be able to give some better specs to suit your engine :D
