Has anyone got the 12" minilites from Tempe Tyres? Are they any good or am I better off with the Supalites? Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks, Kris |

JAM has them... not anything wrong with them. Tempe tyres also offer great customer support. The standard (packaged) tires are said to be not the best tho. THey look hot as well. |

I think they are a better made wheel- good nut setup, the wheels have steel inserts so don't get chewed out if the nuts get loose. That does happen with Superlites- I saw a bunch in a machine shop last week waiting for `the treatment'. Downside..?? they have a bit more inset, so do give less track than the Superlites. This is good or bad depending on what you are after. Upside? Plenty room in there for 9" discs... ![]() <edit> my comments are based on J_A_M's, and Mini Mad's wheels. |

Thanks guys. At $99 they are definatley way better value than the supalites. I have S drums and disks so I don't think the inset will be a problem. Does anyone know what 165/60/12 yokahamas go for? |

make sure you talk to someone who has put the 165s on the Tempe Tyres superlites. I dont think they'll fit without spacers. I know you can fit 145s on them and run them ok, but it will be damn tight with 165s, if they fit. I sent a set of the Tempe Tyres wheels back and bought the Performance Superlites. Much better offset (I want them to stick out, some people dont like that...) Upside: about the Tempe Tyres wheels is that cute centre piece with the British flag colours. very cute ![]() Downside: inset. |

Thanks for the info guys. JAM thanks for the tip. I had gone through most of the posts pretty thoroughly the other day but must missed that one. By the way Tempe Tyres will do the 165's for an extra $80. I think I will just get my 10's restored and get A008's, their offset is good and it keeps the classic look. Cheers |

The superlites have been a good wheel, but u cant fit a 9in disc inside if u want to do a Honda Disc Bracke conversion. |

just confrming guys.. you do need stepped drums to fit the tempe tyres with 165s.. i got the package they had but upgraded to 165 falken uni directionals.. these tyres are awesome.. best bang for you buck in my opinion dont let em charge you anymore than 750 for em.. they charged me 770 with 165's and then sold em to citric (adam) for 750.. now boys.. that includes shipping to perth!.. BARGAIN! oh.. and for that price you get the wheel nuts too |

I've got them. Very happy. Just put them on today. I have spacer drums on the rear and the offset is perfect for running with no flares... makes the car sit a bit higher. I'm a little concerned they might hit the guard when I lower it. Can you increase the +ive camber on your rear wheels? Dunno wtf is going on with he apparent wheel balancing that was supposed to be included. I got a pile of weights stuck together in the bottom of the box. The couple remaining on the wheels flung off about 20m up the road. I got 21 wheel nuts though. Somebody else on the board only got 14 I think? Pretty happy, 750 with 165 falkins is a good price. You're looking at over a grand for the same rubber and performance wheels. dewey |
