G'day guys,

I've got an 82 Moke with gearbox numbers A/BZ2 - BC&M DAM 4818. I think it has the larger diameter idler gear?
Can anyone tell me if this gearbox is an "A" series or A+ series gearbox? As I will have an MG Metro 1275 engine soon to be fitted to it.
Also this engine has a verto clutch, so is it worth keeping it or changing back to the original clutch? what is the benifits of this clutch if any?
Cheers
Chris

My book says Rod change, A+ with 4 bolt bearing retainer for that gearbox number.
Only benefit of a Verto really is reduced pedal effort.
Disadvantages- parts are much dearer, scarcer in Oz, and it is much heavier so less acceleration.
