I remember spaceboy went to Japan and put up some pictures of prices of stuff at Mini Delta.... I was curious about something so went and had a look at their website

my wife is Japanese so translated the navigation and stuff, and look at this motor!!
1600cc (big bore, biig stroke), claiming 158bhp - rock on.... for $13500 - I'd want a 100,000km warranty with that...

cosmics - $228 each! on special!!

want your mini to look phat, and screw your wheel bearings at the same time - well check out these 50mm spacers at $430 a set

Yeah old site. Cool huh?

Like I said on here before way back, one of my favourite minis of all time is the DELTA green machine car featured in Miniworld magazine awhile ago. A series block... that's about the only thing A series   N/A motor does something like 220hp...

I can think of another A series block doing about 220bhp at the flywheel..... it was a turbo not N/A but still thats huge from a A series block and was only 1310cc

It's a simple question of leverage, you are applying the tyre loads at a bigger distance from the bearings, so it loads them more.

For everybody else, paste the URL of DeltaMini into the bar at the bottom of the following linked page, select "Japanese to English BETA" translation, then press the TRANSLATE button.
