I think a VH40 works, not sure of the boost ratio it's probably greater than a VH44. |

There are some small boosters that were fitted to Jap cars in the late 60's. But i think the best option is a VH44. I know they fetch silly prices on ebay but you can pick them up from wreckers and swap-meets for much cheaper prices. |

Gadgets mini wrote: :? how do they hook up?? They simply hook up to the pipe from the master cylinder to the brakes (you need to make up new pipes) And you need a vacuum hose from the inlet manifold. You use the original master cylinder.

does it need a new master Cyl?? there is a pipe from the MC to the booster and another from end of booster to the tee on the firewall. Uses any 0.700" Mini MC. |

In my travels I found out VH40 is for disc brakes and VH44 for drums. The guy on ebay - Terry from Hyrdoboost 03 93904811 - has reconditioned ones in stock $200 something and $35 for the bracket to suit Mini Question of the learned people - would you connect all 4 wheels to the booster or only the front wheels? |

Cooper S's are set up with all 4 wheels |

But if you have a tandem MC on a late Clubby just hook to the front circuit, it works fine. |
