if you are changing the dash to a different one do u have to get it engineered or is it structual things they look for thanks guys |

Not too sure with minis... I think maybe since they are pre adr and all that we might be able to get away with changing dash's without engineering.. But I know for modern cars there are all sorts of laws.. Like no guages are allowed to be mounted higher then the highest stock guage. Adding guages, changing pedals or gear knob, all needs to be engineered by law. |

I just went ahead and made a wood dash for my car. In fact my car is safer than orginal cos its got soft coverings over the metal. But mini's are pre adr so i dont think its an issue. But you want to find out. BTW the dash is not structural to the car itself, as long as you keep the metal shelf in there. |
