Looks great , wouldn't the two carbs have been overkill ? What happened to it in the end , still sitting around somewhere or long gone ? |

Never bothered to put it on the dyno,,,i estimate "plenty" ![]() It did the same lap times at 5000rpms in a 3rd gear as my full house N/A race mini engine did at 8000rpms in 2nd gear (different f/d ratios & tyres sizes tho) It`s still alive.... sitting at dad`s place happily awaiting another fang & no, the carbs were sweet,,, altho they did produce some lag, but simply because of poor manifold design rather than a carb problem,,,took a little bit of time for it to develope an air stream thru that big assed air box type plenum thing & was just not a good design,,, i needed to "Time" putting my foot down a little earlier than i would normally have if you get my "drift" (that was a pun ![]() I`ll get her running again soon,,, we have that car,,,My alloy V8 speedway mini,,,a speedway Van & another little brown speedway mini sedan happening at the moment, hoping to make up a few more to have our own "mini Race" next year ![]() Archerfield speedway (Brisbane) is where we`ll be when the time comes,,,that is unless they close it down before we finish them all ;-( |

I knew there was a use for holden parts other than keeping their engines going! It looks great though. |
