we have here a 1600cc mini engine with alloy Arden 8 port cross flow cyl head & 6 speed dog box (well my Mate Stewy owns it actually, -->Stewy is Jan`s (mutant minis nephew)

It was shown at last years mini muster, he`s just finishing up some final touches, saving up to buy the new slicks & race suit & etc`s & will hopfully be racing it next year

& yeah, they`re pretty dam big donks,,, :-) ,,,you should here this thing, sounds more like a v8 sprint car than a mini, seriously!!!!!!!!

feral,,,, we had 2 of these little beauties, both 6 speed doggys, A friend of mine (Kenny) handed over lots & lots of money to Daryl (yeah KG Eng) for quite a few goodies a while back before he closed the doors & Stewy grabbed this thing off Kenny,

i don`t know how many more 6 speed boxes were made as i believe that Allard got one of the very first ones for his sports sedan mini way way back, Kenny got 2 of them (including this one) & i`m pretty sure he did make a few more, Don`t know how many 1600cc donks were done by them tho, as far as i know this crank was the very last of the very big stroke forged ones left.

the one in Sydney is the one they built for the K&G car, said to of cost them a small fortune in developement and it only had a 5 speed and had Arden 8 port, have heard it may bet fitted back to a supermini for next year :D

Ah!!!!,,,the brown Clubby...that was "meant" to have been a 1620 (or so i was told) & was "meant" to have been the fastest mini in the country at the time,,,but then i could say that about my mini too tho hey? anyones word can spread pretty easy & some stuff can be & seems to be continually blown out of proportion as well... I never drove it tho, so i can`t say, but from what i`ve seen of the work that came from KGs , well,,,some was real good &/but other stuff was,,,well,,,er,,,ar,,,how should i say this???,,,maybe not so good.

we busted 5th & 6th gear dogs straight off the end of the gears on the very first drive of our first 6 speed box,,,had that one & the next one changed the design of the gears & had no problems after that,,,Very busy boxes tho,,,very!!!! Takes a little while to get use to them... but once you got it, they`re fun as. :-)

& yeah,,,awfull large chunks of dosh,,,Stew`s thing cost over $20K (just the bare power unit alone)

OUCH!!!!!!!! That`s what i call a "WHOPPER" tho :-)

The KAD headed unit will put you back AUD $22,502 - before you even get it back in the country...

Would look good under the bonnet though

That's about what minisport in adelaide want for the head and carbie (or injection!) alone.....propbably isnt a bad deal with a gearbox and all, probably something awesome like 5 speed (or even 6? nah too many gears!) so yeah 22 grand isnt too bad, hmm i reckon i could trade my engine 5 times over to get one of those! dam!
