I'm wondering what sort of Comp. Ratio I should be aiming for. I want to run standard fuel (95 :?: ), Using a RE13 cam, some headwork. 1412cc. Pulsar Dizzy. Any recommendations?

Thanks

I'm running about 10:5 to 1, but have always run 98 fuel. I've never tried it on 95 so can't tell you if it would ping or not.

Why run 95? If you're spending the money on a good engine, why not put 98 in it? When petrol is $1.40 whats an extra 6 cents or whatever??

Im runnig 10:1 CR on y 1360 and I always use 98 petrol. Sounds like you have a pretty hot engine so I would be respecting the engine by putting in 98. I was todl to use nothing but 98 when i had my engine rebuilt.

Mine is 10.7 and runs fine on 98. Does NOT like 95 though.
Our 1293 is running 9.4 and runs OK on 95. We took that car on the trip to Tassie, as 95 is the best they have!

10:1 would be OK on 95, with an RE13 cam. You may as well go 10.5 and use 98, it's not much dearer...
