Anyone fitted an MSD 6A(L) CDI ignition amplifier and Blaster 2 coil to a Mini? I've got one on my RV8 and it gives great low down / mid range torque improvement.
The advantages of using CDI have been well documented - hotter longer lasting spark throughout the rev range giving more power, torque, smoother idle, cleaner plugs - are a few of the main ones.
The comparatively hotter sparks generated by CDI systems at higher revs tend to be more of an advantage on big V8s. Not sure how MSD would go on a Mini.
