Cush, it's the same for all engines, not just mini engines.

More air + more fuel = more power

Make it breath better in and out, provide adequate fuel to match that air flow, make internal components lighter so it spins easier.

For A series it's even more all the same. Head work, bigger carb, better intake, better exhaust.

ANSWER: READ YOUR VIZARD BOOK! 8)

i believe the best way to modify a BIG BLOCK 1275 would be to STROKE IT and keep the revs down with a MEATY cam and balance the hell out of it, as 1275's are ROUGH
keep the heavy flywheel to lay big blackies

Speak for yourself, my 1360 with S crank & rods is dead smooth from 3K-8K...
Only the big journal 1100S ones with those bloody heavy rods are rough, IMO.

Best way is to make everything as light as possible so that it spins freely from standstill to 7000+ rpm. Make sure it breaths effortlessly and deeply, increase the compression ratio and way you go

No need to lighten much on a small journal roady motor- I just used the stock Cooper S crank and rods, all balanced though.

Hello 1360 LS, do you have a green LS? I see a green LS in the mornings sometimes driving through Five dock...

If you have a stock head and cam there may be no more power above 6000 anyway

the tacho redlines at 5.5k so thats normal.
with modifications, they will see crazy revs, but yeah totally unneccesary for a daily driver.
the stock cam is probably the best for traffic use as i find most fast road cams only start delivering power around 3000 rpm, and thats when you should be changing gear.
