Hey all!

Anyone know off the top of their heads what the track measurement of a standard mini is?? Also, does anyone know of a good online source of that type of info for other cars?? (I don't wanna give my idea away by asking the other car i need the measurements for!!!!) :roll: :idea:

no mate - way out, but not that way out. I just have what I think will be a really good idea that as far as I know nobody (or at least very few people) has done. It will be about a year before I can start it - so I don't want anybody to beat me to it!!! I have to start planning now. Does anybody know of a good engineer in western sydney somewhere?? The sort of bloke that will discuss whether an idea is do-able without charging a whopping consultation fee. :oops:

Thanks peoples,

Bob.

According to Leyland Black Book Manual-

Front track 3'-11-7/16" (early Minis)
Rear track 3'-9-7/8" ( " ")

The figures for an S are all jumbled in with Mokes, and I'm **** if I can decipher it.. :?

<EDIT>
From my MK2 S etc driver's handbook-
Front track 49-1/4" (Cooper S)
Rear track- (Cooper S) it says same as Mini-K or MiniMatic- 45-7/8"... :roll:

I reckon the GTIR would fit in a mini subframe without track mods........ it's 85cm wide x 60cm deep x 65cm tall. 200kw standard.... STANDARD I SAY!!! There's one at my local wreckers that I measured up a few weeks back....

....sigh.... no cash..... a wife with no idea of what is truly important.....
