Don't need an auto spark - your local mini mechanic can do it. Go and dig up a suitable pulsar dizzy & your mini mechanic can probably modify & fit it in half an hour. I had mine out about 30 degrees, but Al at MiniCentral sorted it in 10 minutes! |

Another (dearer) alternative is replace the points in your Lucas dizzy with a Pertronix ignitor, made in USA. It's a drop-in swap, and you can keep your original 12V coil. Available (at inflated prices) here in Oz, or do what I did- and buy from http://www.vintageperformance.com/retro ... /lucas.htm It will be at your door in a week... much cheaper than buying here or from UK. ![]() They are good, no more points to adjust and timing stays set, but you will still have the limitations of your (probably worn) Lucas dizzy. A Pulsar (Hitachi) dizzy is a much more accurately made device. ![]() |

I was told Bosch make an electronic dizzy that fits a Mini, just need to use the old dog gear out of the old dizzy but they are a bit expensive, like $450.00... |

Lumenition is another simple conversion, similar to Petronix. Cheaper to buy from UK than here. Less than an hour to fit, then just forget.... |
