Well if you get desperate to have it running again, just put your SU back on. What sort of condition is the webber in? I mean if it needs rebuilding and you havent done it, I'd look at that first. |

Has the Weber been running on your car before or is it a being set up for the first time ![]() If it's the later, then you'll need to start at Square One by getting the chokes, auxillaries, emulsions and jets all set up for your engine. Once you're in the ball park it should run OK, but you'll still need some fine tuning on a dyno to get it 100%. If it's been on your engine before, and now playing up - try removing and cleaning the idle and main jet units, remove the mixture screws and blow some air or carbyclean down the passages. |

My very limited experience with webers says if it is spitting out the filter then it is probably running too rich. ![]() See if you can do anything with the mixture screws but if that doesn't do it then it will probably need rejetting my advice would be take it to someone who knows how to tune webers and has a selection of jet and they should be able to what jets to put in it otherwise you could end up buying quite a few jets before you get it right. Here's a couple of links about webers: http://www.teglerizer.com/dcoe/rasorcom.htm http://www.tjwakeman.net/TR/WeberDCOEinfo.htm |
