I've been toying with the idea of making a custom center console for my clubbie and want to to go all the way up to being an armrest / center "glove box"
The only problem i am seeing when i try to plan out the console is that the hand break level is too close to the floor of the mini.

has any one moved the handbreak? i'm thinking using some type of spacer to lift it about an inch or 2 higher off the floor.

would this be possible? and would it pose a problem when getting the car registered?

Technically if you modify any of the vehicle's safety equipment it will need inspection, although for something so minor I would not expect them to require an engineer's cert.

Just make sure the cables don't rub where they come through the floor.
