Probably an easy thing to do if you can get a vented disc.
XU1 Toranas use the same caliper as a GTR Torana with a spacer in the middle to fit the thicker disc.

Well, if they don't, you could just machine a bit off the metro discs. |

they do make em... But they will not fit with ALL 10" wheels I know Kad make some.. they are 7.9" for wheels with a more restrictive inner profile I know Tony at minisport knows what ones fit what wheels. give him a call and ask |

Chong got an S caliper from Minicranks in UnZud, that had obviously had thick (vented?) discs in it- the guts had all been ground out to fit it...! I'd put a spacer in between the halves, instead...

I too thought KAD made them. The Land Rover ones just use the same callipers with a spacer inserted to widen them. There's been alot of discussion on the UK LR forums lately about the benefits of fitting vented discs - most who have regret doing so because they've experienced warped discs within a few months of fitting them. KAD stuff is supposed to be tops though, and you pay top dollar for it too. |

Minispares in the UK do a kit for 10" wheels with their metro discs machined down and a cast alloy calliper, same as the 12" wheel calliper but with the mounting bosses revised for closer fit. Needs Metro drive flanges. Maybe the spacer kit for the calliper halves will fit Cooper callipers??? M |

I don't think so, the S caliper has 2 bolts thru it and the 4 pot has 4. and I bet the fluid hole position is different too. |

You can't just fit spacers to S calapers the slot where the disc goes is not where the two halves bolt together the slot is just in the main body half (one that bolt to the upright) not sure if the slot can be made wider to fit a turned down 8.4 vented disc and suitable offset drive flange |

NO different over here when you can find them. I have had that caliper on my car for years and it actually came from south africa. BUt no that is a std caliper for the S disc brakes i had Kev. Yes you can fit a spacer to them as you used to be able to buy a kit that allowed you to do it ans i think the rotors are still available from minispares. |

Yes you can fit a spacer to them as you used to be able to buy a kit that allowed you to do it ans i think the rotors are still available from minispares. Well Jai, we had to space that caliper 4mm to centralise it over the pads, with stock S rotors- you could see where it had been ground away not only in the slot, but on the mounting lug too.. Hey but it's working OK...

When I was living in London I did the comparison Minisport, minispares and KAD. The minispares ones worked out cheapest with KAD sex on a stick but $$$$. I bought the 8.4" vented kit with callipers, EBC pads, calliper spacers and machined drive flanges (no castellations but still large OD). It was WAY less than $2000. Standard disc brake hoses fit. Pads are Metro size. I recommend selling the cooper discs callipers and drive flanges and buying the minispares 7.9" kit but be aware that your track width will increase 12 mm either side. No need for cross-drilled discs. Slotted maybe but only if you go really hard. I've never faded the vented discs without X-D or slots but used to regularly use up all the brakes when running solid discs. (Mt Glorious  )
