Yeah we used to do that mod, but these days it's way easier and HEAPS less work to go find a dizzy from a Nissan Pulsar N12.
Look for numbers D4R83 or D4R85 on the dizzy body.
These take less than 20 mins work to fit, the Civic is a lot more involved.
Also the Pulsar one has the ignitor in the dizzy, much easier to hook up.
Both the Civic and Pulsar are Hitachi dizzys and similar otherwise.

<edit> If you have a well modified motor with big cam, high compression, worked head etc the D4R85 works well. But if you can find a Nissan Sentra (import) its D4R82 would be even better- it has 10* advance weights, not 12* like the 85 does..
