Hey,
while i was working on my motor today,i was looking at my con rods and crand and wonderd if there would be any advantage of grinding the casting marks off of them?
i dont wanna go ahead and do it incase it stuffs em up...

one of my mates dads polished all the casting marks off the inside of one of his 998's to improve oil return. but you have got to ask yourself was it really worth the six months it took to finish

can ya see them inside the motor ????
will it make the motor run better faster ????
if yeah do it if not leave it as is

yep grind them off but you will need to get them shot peened after. grind of course along the rod not across.
