i get my head back from Graham Russel this saturday so i will post some pics up for everyone. i was very disapointed with my performance at the dyno day (43.3hp) so with a little GR magic i should be a happy boy.

well i got the head and the cam back today. all looks really good. i also found when i stripped it down that one of the thrust washers on the reverse idler gear had welded itslf to the gear so that would have been causing a massive drain on power. i also have a rooted wheel bearing which would drain a fair bit too. so i'm hoping for big fugures. GR also solved my problems with the weber. i had set the float gap set to large and the air filter was over oiled which was doing all kinds of bad things. Graham said that with the small valves and the large ports he has seen 130hp so i can't wait to get it back on road. GR is a top bloke and i say it was money well spent and would recomend him to everyone. Next on the list is a stroker but that will have to wait a little while. i will post some photo's soon

"i'm hoping for 70hp @ the wheels"

Mate, it took me 12PSI and a HEAP of head work to crack 73@ wheels......

it was an absolute fire-breathing 1360 that only just took me out (first Ausmini Dyno day) and it managed 74.somthing on the day......

70@wheels, for N/A is a real stretch... Kev, what was yours.. around 68 wasnt it ? - you've have close to the hottest N/A engine woudnt you ?

I'm hoping to crack 85+ @ wheels in the next few weeks, then the next stage is over 100@ wheels.....

not a GR head, but a DRMINI ST head .......

James,
I pulled 75.4HP with the 1360 last dyno day, but it was running a little lean.
GR got 79 from his 1400, and Ron had 81.? from the $13K 1440 motor.

Since then I've rejetted it and changed the cam to an RE282. Seat of pants says it is going much harder. Will put it on Mini Classic's rollers next week. 8)

<edit> Yep mine runs a DRMINI head too.:)
