should I junk the camira calipers and just get some metro calipers? they seem cheap enough (ebay UK)
The main reason that I went with the camira option is because I don't want the hassle of alignment and bump steer that you will get from the metro hubs.
But I really like the idea of 4 pots.

Don't think metros will be cheap. They weigh a ****** tonne too, so postage will be expensive from the UK. If you get crap ones, you'll need new seal sets ($70) and possibly new pistons (20 somethin each).
My metros get painted tomorrow, and I've already got all new seals, pistons, bleeders,
I need the fittings to get to the master cylinder too.

yeah I thought that they were cast steel.
Well that has put it to rest. I don't have the cash for the alloy jobs

They are actually cast iron, not steel. But just as `light'....

Meeni, metro pistons are smaller than S ones, and since there's 8 of them,
they don't really work out cheaper in total.

You can get either standard S ones (hardchrome) or S/S.
Personally I like the standards- they are $16 vs $24, chrome is harder than SS, and they'll take another 25 years to rust anyhow.:)
