Would fitting a round front to a clubby make a Mk 3? Anyone done it?

i believe madmatt's New Blew is a clubman back with a roundnose front...could be wrong though...

It's been done before, and not overly hard to do, however the car won't effectively be a Mk3, the british ones had the bigger windows and internal hinges, it would still be a clubman, not that anyone would know.

yeaah no one can tell unless they really are basically the same car apart from a few minor details

i was thinking the other day that it if you look at the price of roundy bits you know doors, windows, locks and handles and the actual price of the shell it would work out cheaper in many cases to buy a solid late model clubby and swap fronts

OF COURSE you would have to destroy a perfectly good clubby which WE CAN NOT DO so i wouldnt but hey its up to you
find a clubby with front end damage then get a front cut from brickworx and way you go

yeah. least it would look goot then.

You'd have to keep the Clubman doors, as it is major surgery to change the catch panels to fit the early doors. It will just look late Mini K style!

but thats one of the best things i think the late model door are a lot better and easier on the pocket

Um, 25+ years on I dont think 'solid' and 'late clubby' can be used in the same sentence.

much easier way out would be to fit clubby tail lights to a mini k and put a rover gril on it
