I JUST WANT A QUICK RELIABY CAR DO I RUN WITH THE SU'S IF SO WHAT SIZW OR SHOULD I STICK A WEBER ON IT

THE ENGINE IS A 1275 ANY COMMENTS WILL BE SUPER

and as one answer to your question many people seem to like webers, I have a soft spot for twin SU's. It doesn't matter so much as long as you set them up correctly. Also depends what you want to gain (HP, drivability etc) and what else you plan to do to the engine. A carbie alone won't do much.

if you want reliable just leave what you got but you said you want quick well can only say what i know which not a great deal but i have twin 1'1/4 su's and they are quite good

I have also stayed with SU's.Have now gone from twin 1 1/2 to twin 1 3/4 with
maniflow inlet manifold.I'm more than happy,and also have a soft spot for twin carbies :D :D

I have both and really like the twin 1 1/2 over the Dellorto. Probably the dellorto wins in the power department but the twins are tough and right foot friendly.

The dellorto with it's mechanical fuel pump will always be able to give instant pickup.

The Twin SUs look nice and are easyer to install properly.

NB the NSW Police used twin 1 1/2 on the Highway Pursuit Coopers so you can always say it is a pursuit spec build with SU's

We've got one with twin 1-1/2 HS4s (1293cc) and one with 45 Dellorto (1360cc). The SUs give better fuel economy and are quieter. But the Dellorto is better for power. :P
