Not only possible, but see this thread for video of an airbag ute... however, good taste will surely tell you it's a bad idea. Plus very expensive. <edit> Ben ya beat me to it. yup, it's in Brighton, England. |

that mini ute is hydraulic, not air bag. it is to my knowledge imposible to fit 'bags' to a mini. cos they wont fit in a sub frame. there is a guy making a kit for a hydraulic set up in a mini which is going for about $3k sorry i cant be more helpful than that. |

If you wanted to do something along those lines, then just modifying the original mini hydrolastic suspebsion to hydraulic would be easy as ![]() |

a small hydraulic pump, a four way valve & another valve for up/down plus a few hoses & fittings. Not very high pressure (300 - 350 PSI). You could source these parts from an old wrecked crane - the outrigger control on our old Grove RT58B crane is a joystick-like 4 way valve that would be ideal ![]() |

Yeah, but I think it would be easier with an electrically driven hydraulic pump just like they use for the tilt on big outboard motors... |

What about using a power steering pump, could allow minis to get over speed humps and through puddles |

that was my reason for fitting it (if I ever do) but I think mike is right about the electric pump, no power drain! |

No good in a car required to handle properly - everytime you adjust height the camber and caster would go to hell. Might be OK for tootling around town or a show car though. |
