Has anybody ever fitted a 5 speed or 6 speed box in their mini, if so how much dit it cost ya and how well does it go???? Does anyone know a good spot to get one from???? Thanks guys |

mini spares in the UK I think. But you are looking at about $5000 before freight and taxes though! ![]() |

we ran a 6 speed Dog engagment g/box in my Mk1 "S" a few years ago,,,full race only tho,,,definately not suited to road use at all Stew has the 2nd one in his 1600cc X-flow sports sedan (#89) featured in the mini world magazine from the Qld mini muster show. They did cost $10,500 (each) a few years ago & were both made by KG Engineering, (no longer in business) |

or you can get a suzuki or toyota 5 speed for half that but oh yeah that comes with twin cam 16 valves also and fuel injection all installed ![]() sorry couldnt help myself |

Everyone should keep in mind that 5 and 6 speeders are rod change and therefore you may have to modify your floor to use them....if that is an issue ![]() |
