 Post subject: fabulous flares

anyone know what these are? the flares/arches i mean...as you can see they have visible screws/bolts and seem fairly wide...but not MASSIVELY wide...

I think they used to be called "group 2"

don`t know what other people call em, but were a sort of "rally period" item

pretty sure i can get some for ya

yeah, group 2 - I have a set in my garage, I don't like the way they chop off at the bumper line at the rear, they don't curve under like all the other types of flares you can buy

I was going to use them on the van, but I have a better option now - pm me if interested

i actually think these are them...they stick out 2.5" and are called "WORKS WHEEL ARCHES MINI & MINI COOPER S" according to mini mania anyway :P

these arches are the same or extreeemely similar to the Mayfair arches i have on my '94 rover mayfair. I dont like them cos they dont flow onto the body well and have that annoying white trim (actually got ripped off on left side). Im getting sportspack arches in December sometime so when i get them off il post in 4 sale section

They would be knows as "works" flares/arches, 1.75" is group 2 and 2.5" would be group 5 .............I think :wink:

If you get a lead on some nicely prices 2.5" works flares, please let me know too.
