need some advice as to whom i can employ to take my bare shell and fix any panels that need repairing and then either paint it themselves or send it to somewhere who can...i want a professional finish and i want the body to be perfect when its done...

you guys know anyone in the brisbane area who could do this?

i also dont wanna spend $10,000...anything less than $5000 would be acceptable...

Im no pro, But thought id reply...

$5000 should be the higher end of wat you'll be paying for a good quality job.

Have you thought of doing it yourself??
if you have the time and energy, it could be very rewarding.
just look arround on the net for some tips and how to's..
ive been inspired and learnt a fair bit about doing it.

i dunnoooo.

later.

i would be very interested in doing it myself...except that i'd never be happy with the job i did...i'd always know the places where i ****ed it up and it would eat me up inside...the panels and the paint are best left to the pros when its me we're talking about :P

i gave the guys at Sleeping Beauties a ring today and he seemed quite enthusiastic and is actually coming out to my house on saturday to check my mini out and give me an idea of how much it'll cost to do...looking forward to it :) finally...a paint job i can be proud of :-D

It really depends how much work is needed. If you want 2pak paint with awesome results your probably looking at 4-5k minimum. To reduce costs i'd do as much of it as you can body wise. ie stripping it back to bare metal, welding in new panels if u can etc. Also depends how soon u need it done. generally cheaper if u leave it with them for say 6 months rather than 3 weeks.

time isnt a huge problem...so anything around the 5 month mark is fine as i will be paying off the loan i am getting for the panel/paint work in $1000/mnth lots so when the 5 month mark rocks around i'll have just paid off the loan and be able to enjoy the fruits of my labor to the fullest :) i do want awesome results otherwise i wouldnt bother, what can i say? i am a perfectionist :) i also want it to be rustproofed...so yeah :P $5000 isnt a huge problem...as long as it isnt more...
