sumpin has gotta b different bcus i wanna swap the crank over but..... i was told that either the rod length or piston compression height are different otherwise the pistons will hit the head. Possibly the chamber volume is possibly greater or the pistons dished to stop the compression ratio sky rocketing vizard only touches the subject......not like his other in depth researchings.. |

Blake, On a 1098, the rods are the same as 998, but the piston pin height to top is .148" less (`coz stroke is .296" longer). U need some 1100 pistons... ![]() Piston dish is a bit deeper too. C/R of a stock 1098 is around 8.5:1. Cheers, ![]() |

thanks dr mini.....i knew u would be able to answer it.... and i wanted to swap an 1100 crank into a 998 i wrote 1100 into 1100...... ooops and this aint blake he's lobby69 im lucas -the bro inlaw |
