Can anyone give me some drawings or sizes on making the Cooper S Board Holders for the Boot.

I have a boot board and want to hold it in place just the same as a Cooper S is.

Are you aware that you can buy these already made ? Most of the Mini shops should be able to supply them. :P

Might be a stupid question, but how do you prevent these boards from bending? most of the board sits on the spare tyre in the boot but then there is about an inch or so clearance above the battery/rest of the boot floor. Over time, the board bends down on this side. (well it has in my boot at least).

Is it just a matter of chocking it up on this side?

Cooper S had a pair of brackets that the boot board sat on to keep it level.

The Cooper 'S' Clubman GT had five brackets to hold the boot board in place, Two at the front and three at the rear.

Yeah I remember now- it's been 20 years since we owned a `real' one, LOL.

Thanks for sending them to me as well. Do you have a picture of how they are mounted on the actual car? I am imagining that these would join on the outer of the boot (where the boot joins the car) but then what props the board up the other side on the back of the rear seats. Are these screwed into that metal as well?
