Bastard of a things, i assume your putting in hi-lo's then? Did you get the cone out without removing the top arm? |

Can I ask why you have to cut the trumpets up like this? As I have seen this done many times and I dont know why? So was just wondering do they get stuck or something so you cant get them out? Also do they have to be cut even if you use the rubber cone suspension compressor tool? Thanks.. |

General consensus is your replacing them with Hi-lo's and it's just so much easier to can't the damn thing than stuff around. I used a cone compressor on mine and usually what you get is the top part of the trumpet stuck to the cone and it aint' ever coming apart unless you cut it. Even out of the car I couldn't seperate the top of the trumpet from the cone on the other side. Is it possible to get the cone out without taking the top arm out?.. Well aparently..yes..it has been done..took brad 2 or 3 hours of bashing and getting lucky just to get one side out..technique? VVBFG and a VFLSD (Screw Driver or similar) from top...bash the sucker out.. Me..I prefer to remove the arm, give it a clean and once over, check the bearings etc.. This is what it looked like once back in and all cleaned up: ![]() |

Yes it's worth it. Only other way to adjust height is shorten trumpet/add washers. Messy. Full set will cost you ~$250 probably. Cheaper on eBay. |

Yeah its definatly worth it. you can get hi los for around $50 to $60 each, depends on where you go, if your gonna put them in the back u'll need extension bars, i think they are about $20 to $25 each. putting them is a peice of cake. the hard part is getting the old trumpet out. as seen above it takes a bit of persuasion |
