NO -Single carb only...
Only Clubman GT came standard fit with twin SU's.

A 78 Clubman S would of had a single HS4 1.5" SU from the factory.

Interesting mine has twin 1 1/2" with Ram Flo filters. Both need a rebuild.

I did manage to pick up a brand new SU for the right side last weekend (thought I had found gold!)

Twin 1 1/2" were only standard fit on Police Spec Cooper S.
Never standard on Clubmans.

When rebuilding twin SUs, is the best (or only) option the kit from Burlen in the UK?

I used these kits on my twin SU's a couple of years ago. They had everything except the needles and (I think) the float bowl valves.
Easy job to rebuild except for the bushes used on the throttle butterflies if not allready installed. The throttle body needs to be drilled to accept the new bushes and it is important to get the drilling performed acurately. This is easy for a workshop to do though if you're not handy with a drill press and jig.
Saying this, it is virtually worthless doing the job if the bushes aren't installed and the throttle body is worn out.

Does Fabre Australia stll exist, they used to have all the bits for SU's, they used to have a ot of bits and bobs and special tuning bits as well

If the throttle shafts are not worn, the Fuel Miser kit SU-750 is pretty good. Made in Oz, available everywhere- Repco, Auto One, etc.
It includes all the gaskets, float needle valve & seat, main jets and pipes.
I got mine from MiniK on here for under A$20 each. :wink:

Does HS2 and HS4 carbs. U need 1 kit per carb.

Thanks to all those who replied. The long weekend is coming and I will attempt the rebuild. I am mainly going to do the needle, seat and the shaft on the butterfly valve, as I am told that this is most likely my prob. Did I mention I picked up a new (old shop stock) SU complete for $A40.00. What a find! I was excited all day.

Guess Ive got it bad eh?

Try Swift Automotive in Christchurch. I'm sure he has all bits for SU carbs and fuel pumps.
