Is it possible to put electric windows in the front doors of a mini???, i heard its possible to make them belt driven is this true???, also what motors would i use???

Miniworld magazine did a tech feature on doing it. PM me if you want me to dig it up, but basically they used a kit from Minispares I think.

But that is for the rover design since the british cars didn't ever have our doors.
I toyed with doing it. I think it can be done, there is certainly enough room for a motor,
it's just getting the power across.

well the kit is sold by wood and picket as far as i know, and is designed for the rover door mechenism, but im sure uf you striped the door out it would go in and work, even if its backwards, all brittish cars are :roll:

i have seen it done
at the Qld mini muster there was a guy up near mutant and the blue one
had a yellow panel van, if anyone remembers it had a Alpine 15" Type R in the boot i think
went very loud
but yeah he had electric windows in his
said all he did was buy a universal kit and adapted it to suit
think he said was pretty easy to do and all
sorry thats all i can remember though
