don't lynch me for flogging a dead horse. i read that 30 page thread and a few others... and i had the same problem a few other blokes had, in that i don't have access to a lathe and i don't have the CAD files.

does anyone here or otherwise sell a kit of sorts (with a liability waiver attached) ?
the old thread basically said "pm animal!" and drmini said he won't do them anymore... so who does, if anyone?

unfortunately threads tend to go out of date that way.

i think someone setting up a set of stickies/how-to's on the forum may be a good idea... i've got a number of questions to ask, being a mini-noob, but feel like an arse starting new threads for it.

i'm working on a cad diagram for the 12" wheel set, just getting it checked out.
could do a 10" set in about 20 minutes.

wonder if i could make a few dollars making up kits... hmm.

i'm going to court tomorrow suing someone :-\

i haven't had time to fit the relay in for the H4 bulbs i've got, let alone make up a caliper mount, let alone make up multiple sets of caliper mounts.

you will find that making them is not the problem. If you insisted or you could make sure that they were passed by an engieer there would not be a problem. I guess its a matter of research.
I have olden holdens, any you can buy lots of different klits for them. (chassis kits, r&p conversions, brake adapters) and you will find that less then a quater of companies that supply these kits do so as engieered kits. You still would need an engineer to certify them.
It would be good if that was that much interest then we could make batches of kits, or instructions. But when someone wants the instructions they need to know that it has to be engineered. Having said that, there are plenty of old cars running around with mods done to them that would need engineering certs done but through lack of knowledge of the rules go unseen. I once had a car that had a complete modded front end and sparco seats, it went for a blue slip, passed with flying colours. It was only when I decided to get the rack rebuilt did I find out that it had to be engineered. Even then, I just drove it to the engineer, he had a qucik look and saw the reciepts for the kits that were used (i didn't fit them they were with the car) and gave me a certification slip with all the mods. (300 bucks later mind you)

just for the record....

my car has full size Honda Civic stoppers fitted. I took it for a rego inspection at a local mechanic workshop. Never met the guy before and didn't try to hide anything. The car had been out of rego for 5 years, and had a FULL inspection.

He passed it no questions asked.

My intention is to run the car with these until I can afford 'real' Mini brakes. 8)

Hrm.

Since my car will quite obviously not fit 9.2" rotors on 10" steel wheels anyway.. I'm evaluating the aftermarket wheel situation.

I tried scouring that other thread on the honda brakes, but the forum search is playing up :/

Anyway i'm a massive fan of the anthracite revo's... does anyone (doc) know if revo 12x5's would fit the 9.2" rotors, and whether I'd need spacers and such?

I don't particularly mind using flares.

Revo 10x6 will fit on 7.9" Honda discs with NO spacer so I'm pretty sure you will be OK with 9.1s inside 12" Revos..
Spacer width or if needed, I dunno.
