Yeah, right....!

It's just the latest example of `speed equipment' that don't add speed..

Put it with the 12V powered `blowers'...

Real HP costs real $$$$...

HAHAHA *cough* DODGY *cough*

A turbo turbines need to spin at incredible speeds (Like at when the car is at 4000rpm the turbine is at 10,000rpm, or something like that, don't quote me) to move air into the exhaust sufficiently to add any value, i doubt a toy 12V motor can make any difference!

bah ha ha ha...you know what it reminds me of....

When I was a kid and we used to stick a piece of cardboard to the back of our BMX, so the wheel would rub it and make a car noise....broom broom....

12V Supercharger......bah ha ha ha ha

while i agree that these things are very bloody dodgy, couldn't it be argued that they replicate the ram air effect (u know...used on sports bikes).

i know the how a turbo/supercharger works, but ram air on bikes is proven to work....

just an idea

Saw this thing at a trade stall at one of the expos at the show grounds.

Looked sus to me at the time. Great marketing = convince you to buy something that is absolutely useless.

And no - they don't make one to fit a mini. LOL thank god for that!

dammit, Doc beat me to it again, yeah small size Turbo's can run at anywhere from 50 - 100 000 rpm at peak revs.

That thing looks exactly like the Hi-Clone thing they've been trying to sell on TV here. While it does turn the air and create a vortex, it's not creating the turbelence required for fine atomisation. Rather it's funneling the air. The only benefit I can see from this is that creating the vortex earlier in the intake means that it will be drawing SLIGHTLY more air futher from the mouth of the venturi.

As to why they would bother fitting two to a Chrysler Sebring has me baffled. Once the air's turning, its already travelling in the direction of the vanes. The second one, is an absolute waste of time..........and MONEY

I heard chromed rocker covers can add about 10 hp at the flywheel and anti-static straps prevent rolling resistance from tyres!!! dont forget the red paint jobs, racing stripes and speed holes!!!
