Hi guys this might sound abit stupid but i'm kinda a newbie to minis. Just want to know what would be the best size exhaust pipe and muffler for a 1380cc engine. Been hearing alot abt the RC40 but from what i know it only has inlet of 1 7/8" and outlet 1.625" would that be big enough for a 1380 engine? What about the Lukey mufflers? Any good? Does it look like the RC40 mufflers which the chrome tip end? By any chance do any of you have a sound clip for both mufflers ... ?

I run an RC40 on my 1360, plenty big enough for any road car I reckon. Our 1293 has a (short) Lukey and it's much louder. Nice bark..

Is that an rc-40 on haha? I remember it being pretty loud in the shed there at wakefield, maybe it was just the induction noise from the dellorto? |

on my 1293 i run a 1 5/8" (not sure in mm) walker exhaust. not sure what the headers are other than lukey. by the sounds of things they only make one size. This thing has the "Lukey growl" on it tho. sounds sweet doin 110 down the road. |

probably i'll get the RC40 twin box then.. by the way do they have the stainless steel muffler for RC40? |

S/S one is called RC50. I wouldn't bother, my RC40 is over 10 years old now and not rusted out..

1 3/4 is about the biggest u need to go, i have 1 3/4 on the van...with cam and supercharger kit to be fitted,.... also fitted a 2" to the k when we first got it and it sounds loud and tinny compared to the van! blake
