Another update

Been playing again tonight
Engine starts ok but timing appears to be too far advanced
Tried moving the sensor for the Megajolt but not enough adjustment so next step is to connect laptop and adjust
Then I think i need to ring GR and book in for some quality Dyno time

haha... so michaelb has to wait his turn :p

engine looks good michaelb, why don't you slot the bracket more? to get more adjustment? you can move the sensor +5 degree's or -5 to compensate.

I did this & it was pretty good but when i got it spot on i actually noticed there was a bit of a slight lag compensating in the software.

maybe was all in my head?

did you lock the timing to make sure it is reading the same as the mega jolt? you can start it in limp mode ( unplug the mega jolt) that runs a 10 degree's & see what your timing is running then compensate it.

originally i was out 2 degree's.

ps mega jolt is soooo goooood :) but i moved up to injection.

Engine Dyno is a few weeks away as I am booked in next week to take the body back to the spray shop for some minor fix ups of the paintwork
I will need to play around with ignition over the next few weeks plus do some other adjustments prior to venturing over to GRs

Yeah! Another update on the engine .
How about 155HP @ 6500 rpm on the dyno with approx 13lb boost :) :) :) :) :)
142.8 ft/lb torque @ 4500 rpm

Image

Sounds great.
Had a problem with the Megajolt? It appears to be OK at low RPM with the Megajolt reading 20deg advance and the timing light showing 20deg but at high RPM the MegaJolt was showing 31 deg and the Timing light was showing 41deg

It sounds great
More likely to be pulled up for excess exhaust noise.
I don't think my nice bling Fletcher muffler is really a muffler
:?:
I think it is just a phat stainless piece of pipe :?

If it is I cant wait to hear it running at 6500rpm when the leads are connected correctly

Nope all good just some crazy readings between the Megajolt and the timing light?
