Apparantly sifting without clutching puts all the load of the excess revs on the synchromesh rather than on the clutch meaning that you stuff your synchros faster and it is sooner that you have to rebuild your gearbox. :cry: When told that I stopped playing around with shifting without a clutch :oops: :cry:

i just wanna try the quick shift so i can say iv done it and yes i like it or no they are a waste of time,im going for a propper "hoon" 2day so ill get abit more quality time in with my gearbox...WILLIE you need to come around 2nite so we can bleed my clutch,hasnt been done since motor went back in :shock:,still dont crunch reverse so its alrite for now

i prob should have a shot at the quick shifter on Ebay,but i need to spend my money on my weber manifold,as im thinking of getting one like the doc's but have it already done :D along with his RE13 cam

yeah those manifolds are prettydamn good.... I saw his old one and it was impressive, nd the new one apparently even better! 8)

$250 though arent they?

i think they is $260..but from what doc says,from the manifold alone it started to pull 100RPM lower and kept pulling 100RPM later,worth a shot,and i suppost them manifolds would have been tested with his cam,wich it will be getting all at the same time :D

at any rate it doesnt make much difference for me... I jut have to get the carby converted... i am using a mini spares centre manifold which apparently pretty good...
