Yeah I'd probably go get an 85 for your engine.. if the 83 is in good nick keep it for the 998 cause $38 is a good price.. If not try swapping it.

The bit I cut off. It's where you cut this off that you file rould to match the rest of the circumference and where the clamp clamps. I found it useful to check regularly against the clamp when filing. In fact, I think it's the shiny bit in the first pic where the clamp is.

Many Bosch dizzys will fit, too.
But, they must be 4 cylinder, and rotate anti-clockwise.
Advantages of the Pulsar are the minimal amount of work needed to fit, they are self-contained with no external power pack, and the advance curves are close enough to work well. :wink:

sorry call me a total car virgin but whats an altenator whats a distributer? like i know the altenator recharges the battery's charge but distributer? what would i need to change if i were thinking of subs and big sound? and recommendations of good matches?
