No, I wouldn't cut the rubber! Recipe for disaster.. it will tend to break up.

Easiest to just do what I did, otherwise every time you fit a shock you will have to stuff about with the bushes..
Ask nice and I might make you some.. 8)

The bolts for the brackets are 1/4" UNF. Can't tell you length without pulling them out.. go buy some 3/4" long ones and cut off if needed.

Hey Doc, are these the same as the Karcraft rear bump stops? http://www.minidirectaus.com/web/Item/C ... Detail.cfm

YES.
By the time you add freight etc I doubt they will be much cheaper than Karcraft's $72.

Do Karcraft have a website? They're in Sydney aren't they? So for those of us not in NSW, would it be better ordering from Karcraft or minidirectaus?

redfive,
No Karcraft do not have a website. But they DO answer emails.

Not many places in Oz on the web where you can actually order Mini stuff- most sites out here are about as useful as a poster on a telegraph pole.

I'm dragging this back from the dead.... it was before I even joined ausmini - just to prove I searched before I posted

I bought some progressive bump stops, but I can't decide which way is up....

is it pointy end up and small hole over the bracket

OR

flat end up and large hole over the bracket...

I hope it's the first one cos it's a bloody big thing to jam through a small hole (I'll leave the dirty jokes to someone else)

Pointy end up and the small hole over the bracket.

Shove them both in a vice (grease the rubber a bit first) and squish them until it pops in

well, I did it.... brought a tear to my eye, but I did it....

took at least half a dozen 'compressions' and eventually they each went 'pop' very quietly..

Let the car down and watch they don't get cut by the body flange- if too close, bend it out a bit with multigrips and throw some more bodyproofing at it.
