Many American cars use a foot pedal (hydraulic) park brake. These were not legal here for years, but I'm sure the rules are different now as I've seen cars here with it fitted. You need to ask RTA etc.

My Mazda has a foot operated parking brake. It has never occured to me it might be hydraulic, I must look.

Citroen Xantia has handbrake on front calipers too.

all Peugeot 205,305,405,307 etc that have disc rear end have a small caliper which has a handbrake cable too (not 406 though)

Yay!!!,,,i have those arms on my car,,,

but not the discs,,,i only fitted my own CNC machined alloy hubs, but fitted the alloy superminifin drums,,,really light & simple & when used with an adjustable bias valve, work a treat :-)

I am however making up some rear discs assys for the sprots sedan mini & will be using the motorbike stuff,,,but no handbrake facility tho,,,no real need on a sports sedan tho,,,for road use will be another matter for the legal beagles of the "safety cert" arena

let me know how you get on & what you end up doing ok?

Ok have found that the disk I've selected leaves very little room for the caliper clearance. Talked to a motor cycle wrecker yesterday and ended up laughing at the prices he quoted me for some calipers. I supose if I call him in 5 years and ask for calipers he'll still have the same ones sitting there.

Any ideas on a reasonable wrecker
