no muffler at all sounds absolutely sweet. dont expect your ears to last long though.... i drove back from Baracades place without one and ended up with ringing ears and a huge headache

I remember a while back before i got my engine upgrade, the tip of my stard muffler fell off whilst driving down a gutter, it made my car sound awesome, but as it idled it had a bass noet that vibrated your teeth and that weird spot at the base of your ears, very uncomfortable!! but press the loud pedal and a smile from ear to ear was achieved!!!

Now ive got a stage one kit on my 1275, it came with a muffler but i have no idea what it is, does anyone know??? i think it sounds alright but i want better.

Is it worth paying the extra for stainless?

that depends on how long you plan on having your car

stainless lasts forever (longer than you anyway)

where as a pressed steel one will only last about 5-10 years before it rusts out

do your maths.. they are actually cheaper in the long run (and look sweet)

by the way.. there is no performance reason for it.. so depending on what you consider 'worth it'

yes, dont forget to cold galv the welds.. or this bit will rust.. (ruining the reason for stainless).. id slit and clamp joints for that reason

i was considering using stainless...but the same thing, i couldnt justify the extra cost just to make it look pretty.

mine lives in a dry shed anyway so it wont rust out soon
