Why don't ya just throw any old disc and caliper setup you can find. I'm sure I could rape dad's company falcon for it's discs and bash them on somehow... its getting a bit like that hey!

after having cooper s dics on mine, I find that the camira ones are heaps better.... And whose to blame people if they can't afford S discs? Furthermore, for a lot of conversions and FOR REAL SAFETY ISSUES, some cars need bigger brakes....

I don't have a problem with the big brakes, i have huge alloy four pot ones with adaptor plates on my race car. My point is that not all brakes are engineered and approved. If they have been, great.Just because someone elses car has been approved doesn't make your car right.

i totally agree that all non-mini mods should be engineered asap.... it would be too much of a pain to get done over by insurance if they aren't....
what sort of brakes you got on your race car?

brickworx, you were saying that you guys do custom injection systems using haltech? how much would a system like that cost? any increase in power?

Brakes on my race car...
I'm currently running normal 8.4 Ap disc setup.
My normal 11" disc(and big ass calipers) setup won't fit with the wets til i get some new wet rims

Before mutant was born and was it's old self (green) with 1380cc engine it Ihad a set of Camira discs fitted. I didn't have them engineered. They apparently were originally done by K.G. Engineering who used to be a Mini business some years ago. I found them to be the best I have had so far and I had a Clubman GT to compare them to. I still have them and who knows one day I might put them on some other mini.

Yeah i have also heard that a guy in Sydney is doing similar conversions... ONly I heard that he puts COMMODORE brakes on em! I dont know how those rotors and calipers would fit.... Seems like another great option, providing you could get them engineered. :!: :?:

Do you know who he is makka?

Blue clubbie owner isn't a member of ausmini. His name is Rob Diamante.
