Morris 1100S was an 1100 body, with a 1275 `non S motor'. They put the S in the car name to confuse everybody, and trade on the S name. :lol:
Should have called it a Morris 1300- as they did, eventually.
Yes the block has a solid wall tappet chest. So did all 1275s except Cooper S and Oz Clubby GT.
