What are you trying to acheive?

Even the quickest Minis are still running rubber cone suspension and shock absorbers

As stated above, they give the opportunity to replace the rear sub frame with a simple cross beam, saving considerable weight. This also could free up space for exhaust, fuel pumps, radiators etc that may come with an engine conversion. They give the opportunity to tailor the spring rate, rather than stick with what is available with rubber cones. They won't sag and increase rate at the front. The damping is independent of the spring, unlike rubber springs which have inherent damping. The rate will be consistant, unlike the variability with rubber cones of uncertain age/history.

Many of the minis design features are brilliant and have gone on to be adopted as the standard for small cars. Rubber springing is not one of those. It has its limitations, and so do coil-overs. I'm just after REAL feedback from people who've given them a go.

Many race minis run the rubber springs to stay within the regs.

to be honnest, i'd rather buy a coil conversion kit, than go for the coil-over setup... i havent heard alot of positive comments on the coil-over kits but then i most people only post about the down side of things...
i can see the slight advantage of changing over the rear in terms of weight, but overall its not really worth it i dont think.

for a cheaper price and alot less work you can throw in a coil conversion and still have the advantages (in terms of coil vs cone).

just my 2c
