I got 21 wheel nuts though. Somebody else on the board only got 14 I think?

Did you get 5 wheels / tyres?

They seem to chuck in 1 spare wheel nut, which makes me thing they are cr@p nuts..... :?

That's weird about your balancing weights.....maybe they did them on a hot day and they didnt stick properly...

I only got 4 tires and got some completely odd number of nuts... like 21 I'm pretty sure. So thats 5 bonus. They probably are crappy nuts... Dr Mini mentioned he thought they were a bit soft when he checked out somebody elses wheels (can't recall whose).

Yeah the balancing weights were pathetic. I'm going to have to have them rebalanced and the steering alligned etc on the weekend. Do Bob Jane/beaurepairs do mini's without putting up to much of a fight? Should I set my ride height up properly before I get this done?

YES! That's very important, otherwise you are wasting your money.

My car sits pretty high with those 12's on it too....I am just going to live with it.

i think you have earlier ones? because all the performance 12 in rims ive seen clear 9 in discs ....
I purchased the wheels and Yokohama A539's right at the start of 2003. They were brand new through a Beaurepairs store. Seems that every1 elses fit a 9in disc, spewin that mine wont!!!!

They do. I had my 10" wheels set up and he said he could have done a car with 8" wheels  They only charged 38 for the wheel alignment; 60 dollars i was quoted at Beaurepairs.

Have faith in Bob Jane's - they've been round for ages and know their stuff 8)

Beaurepaires are a ripoff. Dearer than everybody.
Bob Jane sells Performance Superlights too, that's where Ozmotorsport got his a while back.

My local Bob Jane store (Hoppers Crossing) has always been good. A mate's dad has TWO concours winning Jag E-Types (FHC and roadster both red - some people just have too much money) and they are the ONLY tyre place he trusts.

Thinking of getting a Tempe Tyres package for the van, as the 145 Michelins currently fitted are getting low on tread. But I can't decide whether to stick with 10s or go for 12s. :?

I wanted to stay with 10's but the cost of the 'S brakes blew that plan outta the water.

the trouble with anything is that as soon as the item leaves the sellers premises, it drops in value.

That seems to strongly apply to cars and car parts. Your wheels are quality and look great, but you will never get back what you paid. KEEP 'EM!

Thing is I have already bought a set of honda brakses ready 4 the conversion, Im tryin to decide if i should keep these wheels and then pay to get the standard rotors machined to 7.9in, or sell these wheels 4 as much as possible, then I can use DBA slotted, x-drilled rotors. Kinda sux going to the trouble of this conversion and still havin to use standard Honda rotors. If I go through with it I really want to use DBA slotted and x-drilled rotors. Obviously u never get ya money back, but I dont want to give em away.
