True. :lol:
If you want an 1100 crank to make a stroker 998 (to 1098) just ask here. I'm sure there are still a few about... :wink:
ps. you would need 1100 pistons too.

I have 2 x 1098 cranks here and they were going to become land fill but yours if you want(you will have to organise the freight though). They came out of running 1098cc motors but dont want anything for them - will even throw in the rods as well.

Let me know if you want them but will have to go through the usual checks though...

any sugestions in pistons and size?? taking in mine flat top.

The size will be dependant on how big you do an overbore which will depend on how many overbores have been done before and how badly worn the bores are, you can't know this until you have the block out and take it too you machining guy. Then you start looking for pistons.

I don't know much about what are good pistons etc and wether 1100 pistons come with flat tops or not, if they don't you can raise the CR by shaving the block :wink:

Pistons are many - I like the Hypatec ones as they are a bees dick lighter than std. A slight dish is ok -but really depends on what you want out of it. The lip wont overly be a concern but I would get the machine shop to look at it. I think the 20 oversize would be more than enough - the Hypatecs' come in a 30 oversize too. Good towing motor and ideal for loping slopes - plenty of poke.

Please, talk mm... :lol:
Actual stroke of 1098 is 83.7mm, not 85.0.
Bore is 64.6mm stock, so it's probably only at +.020" now. You can still get +.020", +.040", +.060" stock sizes- and as Rob said Hypatec do a +.030".
Also, GR still has some nice flat top +.080" ones I think. :P

<edit>
Back in the `good old days' we used to offset bore them to 68.0mm and use Hepolite or Repco `Imp' pistons, but these are rocking horse dung now. Although I think JP Pistons still make them.
It gave ~1220cc.

Hardly worth the bother these days- just bore a 1275..... :wink:

Standard rebore & hone job- probably $100-150, + the pistons. Rings come with them... :wink:
