40mm chokes (venturis you called them) are really too bit for a road Mini. stock or mild 1275 goes well with 34s, I'd use 36 or 38mm for well modded ones and big bores depending how mad the spec is.

its down to fitting the weber, replacing the exhaust (going the hotdogs setup), still have to carpet the wheel wells and floor under and around the seats, replace the steering wheel, then work out what to do with the paint/graphics, door trims to be black, seats replaced or black seat covers and it'll be pretty much there :)

umm, I spent most of the weekend in Perth, havent touched the Mini for days. And now my sons car is blocking it in, we pulled the had off last week, got it reconditioned, replaced it Saturday morning but still have a few things to do before he can crank it over and hopefully be able to drive it. I can get the Mini out but theres no rush right now. After we get son's car going I'll get back to the Mini weber changeover :)

PS you should have come up to the hillclimb at Bargagallos on Sunday, great venue. 3 Minis were in it ;)

he's on his P's. Got the P's on a Friday, blew his head gasket on the Saturday. Head's been rebuilt and now back on the car, hope to crank it up later today. He's got my old Nissan Exa, another pocket rocket

that GT40 is a twin turbo V8... while we were watching it do its run the guy next to me says "I wanna have sex with that car" it was truly sexy in sight and sound I have to say.

Gaf, yeah he was pretty sad about it. Its his car, he killed it fanging at the lights (I have no idea where he got that behavior from  )
the good news is, we cranked it up about 20 minutes ago, and now he's off driving for the hell of it ;)

and yes, he has rice ready to fit, starting with boost guage his brother gave him and BOV will be next  Ive told him if he can keep it on the road for 3 months, unpranged, Then, he can start playing with it.

it also means... now I can get the Mini out to play :) I'll get to my weber soon :)
