what else do i need other than this kit and the sc12 if i have a fairly standard 1100, and can i please have some prices as to what these extra bits and peices would cost me...

also is it possible to fit it without pulling the engine out?

and if i get it... and then say in a year i want to go to a 1275 or bigger would i be able to just pull it off and bolt in onto that?

thanks

you will need the kit... bout $850 now?
sc12 will cost you out $200-300
carby, hif44 round $40-50 for a average one...prbably need a rebuild,
airfilter $40 for a good one,

yes the kit will fit all A series motors in a mini.....850 997 998 1071 1098 1275 and A+

yes it is posible to fit without taking motor out.....but easier to fit CRANK pulley with motor out, (and its not that hard to get out either!)

im on my 4th mini engine removal this year!

blake

As long as the compression is below about 8.8:1 can bolt straight on, standard 1100 compression is 8.3:1

lobby don't have any footage there is some race footage a mate of mine has but I haven't seen it . I am in the process of building a new engine and will be going to the dyno in the next few weeks so I might try and take some then.

so u say it should give about a 30% to 50% increase in power. just wondering what sort of 0-100 times it'd be pulling and what types of cars it'd keep up with on the road? eg. hyundai excels? lancer (1.5 or 1.8)?, v6 holdens?, ferrari enzo?

(i have an 1100)

seriously concidering it now guys, so cant wait to see some videos to convince me... will i have to tell my insurer? i am on my green P's so i guess it wouldnt help me any, lucky its in my dads name :P

and how do i check my compression? should i just ask the guys that reco'd my engine? they should know shouldnt they, after all it is a mini place.

go for it mate, dont hold back like me, im stoked to have a suercharged mini, plus i like the fact that it is an 1100 motor, if you kill it another motor is cheap as chips, unlike 1275's,

compression ratio should be fine, just in case speak to the recoer's,

alot of the guys on here recon there 1275's in good tune keep up with v6 comonhores, the supercharger 1100 should be equivalent to a mild 1275, (as said in previous posts) mums 1.5ltr carby lancer keeps with commodores till bout 80ks
it wont be an average mini,......sleeper credit!

blake
