For a road car, normal oil pickup is fine. (WHich is what I have, at elast what I think I have.) But for a track car....go centre type. X pin diff is unessesary but is tough and probably unbreakable.

Think about this.... Head work and carby work can be done later, easily. But gearbox/diff and block can't be nearly as easily. If there's one thing I could back and change would ahve been putting in the extra 2 grand and getting straighcuts. Although I haven't had any gearbox issues yet I might in the future and we all know what a pain taking a gearbox off is.

i am getting them to do the head and block then i am going to do the gearbox and carbies its going to be the same as b4 but i am doing the gearbox ill still have the straight cut gears and the x pinned diff and i will put a centre oil pick up in.. and i cant get other quotes any more because he has already started on it. and plus minisport never rang me back about 6 months ago about a quote for it... the and i now that the guy from remach knows what hes doing

love to hear the progress as it comes along..

i dont like straight cuts, i would only use em on a track only car if that 8)

my car is getting a centre oil pickup, better to be safe than sorry :?

Yeah, better be safe than sorry, too bad by the time I paid for my engine Mini King had decided that I was going to buy it (after my small deposit) and the gearbox was already done. Bugger if only I thought about it....
